We are very happy to welcome Yuchen Zhang as a new member of our team in the AVS Lab at TUM. 

Yuchen graduated from Shanghai University with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. During her final year of study, she had the opportunity to study at RWTH Aachen University, where she also successfully completed her bachelor thesis. This laid the foundation for her further academic career. In 2023, Yuchen completed her Master's degree in Robotics Systems Engineering, also at RWTH Aachen University. During this time, she developed a deep understanding and extensive knowledge of robotics, which she will now bring to her research.

As part of her PhD, Yuchen is focusing on object recognition for off-road autonomous vehicles. Her work aims to improve the safety and efficiency of autonomous vehicles in challenging environments.
