Motivation
We are working on one of the most important challenges of our time: the CASE megatrends (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric) are fundamentally changing people's mobility: in future, we will have to rely more heavily on digital, sustainable and shared solutions to meet our transportation needs. As one of the 14 Clusters4Future of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, MCube aims to put these megatrends into practice in metropolitan areas. As part of MCube, we as the Chair of Automotive Engineering stand for data-based and analytical methods in the research cluster. We work together with dozens of partners from research and industry, from OEMs to innovative start-ups, and implement developed solutions in real-world laboratories.

Your Challenge
We are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Mobility Twin Scientist (m/f/d) with a passion for passion for future mobility.
In the DatSim project, a large-scale digital twin of the transportation system of the Munich metropolitan region will be developed and published open source. Different activity patterns, means of transport and mobility and mobility innovations are linked and compared with traffic flows. Your challenge is to combine project management and software development and to think together the overview of the project, as well as the economic and scientific scientific environment together. In addition, you will contribute the digital twin to the joint research of the MCube Cluster and analyze innovations in mobility in the metropolitan region.
Your Profile
As the ideal candidate, you have a Master's degree in engineering, computer science, transportation technology, civil engineering or another business/technical discipline. Above all, however, you are strong in communication and organization in order to hold your own at the interface between business and science. You have programming skills in a high-level programming language (e.g. Python, Java) and already have some experience with databases. You are passionate about the development of new mobility solutions and are committed to helping shape MCube.
Your Opportunities
As part of our team, you will actively shape the mobility transition and build up a valuable network of players from industry and science. You will have access to extensive tracking hardware, server infrastructures and databases for your role in the Smart Mobility Lab. You will take on responsibility in the project right from the start and work in a team of experienced smart mobility experts who will shape mobility together with you. As part of your work, you will continuously expand your knowledge, pass it on and supervise student research projects in order to actively help shape the urban mobility of the future. You will have the opportunity to pursue a PhD.
