Motivation
In the future, predictive route data will be an indispensable basis for a multitude of innovative applications. In the field of chassis, the provision of data on the condition and characteristics of the road surface in conjunction with networked, predictive chassis control functions offers optimisation potential for improving driving dynamics, comfort and safety.
Objective
The aim of the work is to develop a methodology for providing predictive route data, such as characteristics and properties of the road surface or function-specific route attributes, to extend existing vehicle dynamics control systems by predictive approaches.
