Problem

The range of electric vehicles is still limited due to the available energy storage technology. Therefore, the reliable and accurate calculation of the remaining range is a necessary prerequisite for the daily use of electric vehicles. However, range estimation is a complex problem because the energy consumption of electric vehicles depends on different driver-, route-, vehicle- or environment-related variables.

Goal

The aim is to reliably and accurately predict the energy consumption of electric vehicles and thus estimate the remaining range. As far as possible, all relevant influencing factors should be taken into account.
