euMOVE 2019/2020
In the winterterm 2019/2020, the Institute of Automotive Technology together with the Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning and the Munich Center for Technology in Society offers the possibility for students to work on an European benchmark of urban mobility. In cooperation with the institutes, students write their thesis on exciting topics in the field of mobility.
Report and Presentation
This years euMOVE is over, and the final report is compiled. Please find it here to download, available from May 11, 2020 on.
Project
In the project euMOVE, teams of students are meant to explore and compare urban mobility throughout Europe. As a goal, the students compile a report which analyzes various regions and compare them to the status quo in the Munich metropolitan area.
In a first phase, this status quo is to be determined in Munich. In the beginning of the first phase, kickoff-days in the week of the 18.11.2019 take place at university together with the chair supervisors and all team members.
In a second phase, a distinct European area is set into focus for every team and several cities of that region can be visited to gather live-information. During the third phase, the collected information of all teams is to be analyzed and compiled into an European mobility report. This report is presented at COFAT 2020.
Students Thesis
During the project, students are offered to write thesises in the projects scope for their individual study curriculum.
Selected cities and project schedule
During the kick-off phase, three groups of four students each were formed. After an analysis of innovative mobility solutions in Europe, three target regions were identified, each of which will be visited and investigated by one group: Barcelona, Tallinn/ Helsinki, Stockholm
