We are very happy that, on proposal of Professor Klaus Bogenberger, Professor Markos Papageorgiou was appointed TUM Ambassador in 2021. TUM Ambassador is an honorary title awarded to selected international top researchers who have contributed their expertise and experience to our university. On Sunday, Markos Papageorgiou was honored by TUM President Thomas F. Hofmann on the stage of the Isarphilharmonie in front of almost 2,000 visitors of the “Vivat TUM” summer concert. In addition, his award was celebrated with a scientific seminar at the Vorhoelzer Forum on Friday. In this seminar, he gave an impressive lecture on his current research topics entitled “A new traffic paradigm in the era of connected and automated vehicles.” Congratulations, Markos Papageorgiou!
