Content: In the study, a framework is presented and applied to the example of Park & Ride facilities to evaluate different types of charging infrastructure such as AC, DC or HPC charging stations on a detailed level and based on real usage data. The study based on a large dataset of real charging and parking events and the results can be broken down to the level of individual charging events. Since both technological and economic perspectives are considered in the framework, the study is relevant for all decision makers involved in the development and operation of charging infrastructure.
