The TEMPUS consortium met for the first time in presence. The venue was the BMW Group Autonomous Driving Campus in Unterschleißheim. The meeting marked the half-time of the research project in a successful way. Highlights were, besides the vivid presentations on the current project status of the individual work packages, among others the presentation of a TEMPUS test vehicle of the BMW Group as well as a measurement vehicle for the creation of HD maps by 3D-Mapping Solutions GmbH. The final get-together in the Augustinerkeller was used for a lively exchange among the project participants.
Project participants from the Chair of Traffic Engineering are: Philipp Stüger, Fabian Fehn, Martin Margreiter, Barbara Metzger, Roman Engelhardt, Lisa Hamm and Alexander Kutsch.
Further exciting tasks are expected in the following course of the project, such as the completion of the test field setup, the start of test drives, and research into the acceptance of automated vehicles in urban traffic.
The City of Munich would like to thank all participants for the successful event, the great interest and the enriching discussions.
