Welcome to the website of the Institute of Sustainable Mobile Powertrains at the Technical University of Munich.
Prof. Malte Jaensch has been full professor of the Chair since October 2021.

The Institute of Sustainable Mobile Powertrains conducts research in the field of sustainable mobility in a technology-neutral manner. We deal with the entire range of future vehicle drives, from combustion engines powered by synthetic fuels to hydrogen fuel cells and electric drive systems. In line with the long-standing philosophy of the Institute, it is particularly important to us to link simulation, prototypical implementation and testing.

The Institute of Sustainable Mobile Powertrains with its test facilities, workshops and laboratories is located in Munich-Moosach.
