Admission information
Objectives
After participating in the module's sessions, students will be able to analyze electric motors, estimate and measure their operating behavior. Team-based exercises further expand their understanding of the interaction between electric machines and the converters required for their operation.
Description
The practical training course "Fundamentals of Electric Vehicle Drives" is designed for students who wish to deepen their knowledge of electric powertrains in vehicles. It combines practical and theoretical tasks to impart knowledge about the characteristics and operating behavior of electric machines, as well as their control and regulation. The course systematically addresses the measurement of electric drives and the necessary measurement technology. Work is conducted over several sessions at a test bench, which is operated by the students in small groups.
Prerequisites
It is recommended to have basic knowledge of electric drives. For example, this internship can be taken concurrently with the "Fundamentals of Electric Vehicle Drives" course.
