What’s changing?
This transition is designed to better reflect our identity and mission within TUM. The content, research focus, and dedication to advancing sustainable mobility solutions remain the same.
Our Mission
At the TUM Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning, we are committed to exploring the drivers of change in mobility behavior, integrating land-use and transport planning, and developing innovative tools to design and evaluate sustainable urban systems.
Leadership
This chair is headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gebhard Wulfhorst, whose leadership inspires our vision for sustainable urban mobility. Our work is driven by an exceptional team of researchers across four key groups:
1️⃣ TUM Accessibility Planning – Headed by Dr. Benjamin Büttner, Improving urban quality of life through tools that integrate land-use and transport planning.
2️⃣ Integrated Mobility Concepts – Headed by Dr. Julia Kinigadner, Creating holistic strategies for sustainable and innovative mobility solutions.
3️⃣ Mobility Justice – Headed by Dr. David Duran Rodas Addressing inequities in mobility systems through cutting-edge analysis and inclusive approaches.
4️⃣ Governance – Headed by Carolin Zimmer Supporting effective stakeholder management and governance processes to implement impactful solutions.
💡 Each group brings unique expertise to our mission of fostering cities that are inclusive, accessible, and sustainable for everyone.
We’re thrilled to continue our journey under the banner of the TUM Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning and look forward to sharing more of our work with you in 2025 and beyond. Stay Open!
