openJOB: InclusiveSpaces is looking for a student assistant!

For the international Europe Horizon Project InclusiveSpace we are looking for a student assistant supporting the research with 8h/week.

About us

The Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning focuses on sustainable and integrated mobility planning in urban, rural, and regional areas in teaching, research, and practice. The Research Group Mobility Justice (led by Dr.-Ing. David Duran) examines the needs of different people in various projects to design mobility and public spaces for everyone.

Requirement

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at a Munich university or college, preferably in a mobility-related field of study.
  • Interest in and basic knowledge of mobility and the design of public spaces, especially considering the diverse social components.
  • Independent working style and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good written and spoken proficiency in English and German (at least B2 level).

Tasks

  • Active participation in the InclusiveSpaces project, with the possibility of supporting other projects.
  • Assistance in the preparation, conduct, and evaluation of interviews.
  • Support on the development of a comfort-based accessibility tool
  • Preparation of research results as well as documentation and evaluation of project progress.
  • Support the general chair operations.

We offer

We are an international team and offer insights into scientific practice as well as the opportunity to collaborate on various research projects. We encourage participation in internal meetings, project appointments, webinars, and workshops. The working hours are 8 hours per week and can be arranged flexibly in consultation with the team. The position is limited until March 2025, but a long-term collaboration is being sought. Work can be done either in the office (TUM Campus Munich Downtown) or from home. Compensation is in accordance with TUM standards for student/research assistants.

! Please note: This is not a PhD position nor a research associate position. It aims applicants which are enrroled in a bachelor or master program at a German university or college, preffered located in Munich.
