During the recent event of the MCube Speaker Series "Future of Mobility," we embarked on an inspiring journey to explore the immense potential of cycling for a more sustainable form of mobility. Together with MCube - Munich Cluster for the Future of Mobility in Metropolitan Regions, we had the honor of hosting the 10th lecture series on the "Future of Mobility" at the Vorhoelzer Forum's rooftop terrace, Technical University of Munich.
During this event, our distinguished panel of experts delved deep into the possibilities of cycling as a sustainable solution for urban mobility. They emphasized the need to create safe, accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable cycling experiences for all individuals. Notable highlights from our speakers include:
- Prof. Marco Dozza eloquently emphasized the importance of intelligent vehicles and the need to overcome behavioral barriers in the mobility transition.
- Maria Deingruber impressively presented the possibilities of micromobility and stressed the need for improved cycling infrastructure to make cycling more attractive and practical.
- Peter Bloesl vividly showcased the benefits of cargo bikes in urban freight transport and emphasized their ability to reduce emissions and alleviate congestion in cities.
During the event, the audience actively participated through stimulating questions that shed light on the interaction between politics and societal factors in the mobility transition. These interactions sparked lively discussions and fostered a cooperative atmosphere.
We would like to express our gratitude to our esteemed speakers and the Technical University of Munich.
