General description
PRIMA tests innovative methods to enhance the conditions for sustainable mobility for employees and students at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Various incentive-based interventions (innovative and digital “pull measures”) are being used to increase the attractiveness of alternatives to motorized private transport for journeys to and from the TUM sites and within them. This includes implementing app-based information, gamification, and communication measures, and evaluating the additional impact of participatory approaches. The overall aim is to reduce environmentally harmful transport-related emissions.
Objective
- Shift as many journeys as possible by TUM members to and from the campuses to sustainable, low carbon modes of transport
- Research supply and demand-side digital measures of corporate mobility management in real-world laboratories to implement more targeted projects in the future, aiming for a significant reduction in emissions due to commuting
- Share project findings to achieve scalable effects at other universities and public institutions
