VVD-M - Digitization of municipal transport systems
Project Description
The aim of the project consortium is to build a comprehensive digital platform for Munich, with the help of which extensive measures of traffic management can be examined for their impact on compliance with immission limits, but also on the quality of accessibility and mobility in the city. Aspects of improved data collection and the inclusion of all modes of transport play a crucial role in identifying effective traffic planning and control measures for cities by means of simulations - in particular in order to achieve a medium-term and sustainable reduction of NO2 pollution. The platform is intended to enable the participating departments of the City of Munich and the transport companies to plan, evaluate and compare short to medium-term packages of measures in accordance with the principle of "recording - planning - evaluation".
