Yesterday, Klaus Bogenberger and Martin Margreiter were visiting the construction site of our new Open Bavarian Test Bed for Intelligent Mobility Concepts in Taufkirchen, in the South of Munich. Our TUM Chair of Traffic Engineering and Control is building this innovative test bed together with the IABG and the Free State of Bavaria (Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wohnen, Bau und Verkehr).
Once the construction of the 8000 square meters large test bed and the innovative parking garage will be finished in the first half of 2024, we will research various aspects of automated and connected traffic and its interaction with pedestrians, cyclists and intelligent traffic infrastructure. The test bed will be open for external research partners as well.
