Last Sunday was the Day of Innovation & Tradition in Grafing close to Munich (https://www.grafing.de/rathaus-service/aktuelles/archiv/2022/tag-der-innovation-tradition-im-gewerbegebiet-schammach.html), where the research project PLIMOS (Planning of intermodal mobility services based on 3D city models) was presented with a test operation of an autonomous shuttle bus. In the PLIMOS project, our colleagues Martin Margreiter, Roman Engelhardt and Yunfei Zhang are mainly working within the Working Package Multi-modal Traffic modeling to simulate the shuttle operation integrated into the public transport schedule. We are glad to see so many local residents participating into the test operation and are interested in taking this new mode in the future. We also thank all our partners including CADFEM, VCS, TUM- Geoinformatik, DB Regio and 3DMS.
