Public Transport Systems
Lead: Antonios Tsakarestos, Ulrich Glöckl, Johannes Müller
Advancements in digitalisation, electrification and the emergence of ever new ideas and concepts for the transport system of the future pose special challenges for decision-makers. How do new concepts fit into the spectrum of established transport systems and mobility services? How can innovations for which there is no practical experience be designed and evaluated in advance so that they can unfold their advantages? This group is concerned with the conception, simulation and evaluation of new mobility concepts in the extended context of public transport.
Research Topics:
- Assessment and decision support
- Simulation of new systems
- Planning and Integration of Urban Air Mobility
- Influencing mobility behaviour through monetary incentives and gamification
- Electrification concepts for public transport
- Electric mobility
