The first day of the InclusiveSpaces Consortium meeting in Athens marked a significant milestone for the project. Participants gathered to review progress and plan the next steps toward creating accessible, climate-resilient urban spaces.
Highlights of the day included:
A warm welcome from the Deputy Mayor of Penteli.
Detailed updates on project milestones and next steps, with in-depth discussions on social innovation, advanced planning tools, and the development of climate-friendly assistive technologies by the project partners.
Presentations from demo site partners in Athens, Geneva, Madrid, Larnaka, Hamburg, and Budapest. These sessions provided valuable insights into site-specific updates, challenges, and opportunities. Attendees also engaged in collaborative discussions, exploring survey results, local scenarios, and key takeaways.
On the second day, the remaning partners presenting their updates of the remaining workpackages, which will start from May 2025. In the end we had a guided visited through the municipality of Penteli, which is also the demo-site for the Comfort-based Accessibility Tool developed by the Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning within the InclusiveSpaces project.
