Anirudh Ray is a Research Associate at the Travel Behavior Research Group at TUM. He completed his Bachelor’s in Physical Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (2016–2020), where he specialized in Transportation Planning and as part of his thesis wrote a framework for planning electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Indian cities. From 2020 to 2022, he worked as an Analyst with Ernst & Young LLP and as a Consultant with World Resources Institute (India), contributing to major e-mobility and transport decarbonization projects and policies in collaboration with international development agencies, global businesses, and government institutions. In 2022, he joined the Technical University of Munich to pursue a Master’s in Transportation Systems, focusing on intelligent transportation systems and multi-modal routing algorithms. Since late 2022, he also worked as a Student Research Assistant with the group, where he supported projects on travel behavior modeling and agent-based simulation. His current work revolves around developing agent-based simulation tools for efficiently turning around aircrafts, aimed at enhancing the sustainability of air travel. In his free time, he likes to cook different cuisines, swim in open waters, and follow Formula 1.
