Vitae
Corin Staves a guest doctoral candidate from the MRC Epidemiology Unit, University of Cambridge. His PhD investigates how modelling innovations from transport science can be applied in public health modelling. It is jointly supervised by Dr. James Woodcock at the University of Cambridge and Dr. Rolf Moeckel at TUM. Corin holds a MSc in Transportation Systems from TUM, funded by a Fulbright scholarship. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics, Civil Engineering, and Music Performance from the University of Central Florida.
As a guest doctoral researcher, Corin is working closely with the associate professorship for travel behavior in the development of an integrated agent-based land use, transport, and public health model (through the GLASST project) and the development of an activity-based model (through the ABIT project).
Prior to his PhD, Corin worked with the team as a part-time student research assistant. He has previously worked in research and consulting positions related to traffic safety, intelligent transportation systems, and clean air strategies.
