Emmanouil (Manos) Chaniotakis successfully defended his PhD dissertation on the 27th, March, 2020. Manos, currently lecturer at the University College London (UCL) was planning a physical defense in Munich, to be attended by many of his colleagues. The current circumstances -corona crisis- made it unfortunately impossible; still, this did not prevent him from successfully defending his dissertation in an unconventional manner: online (meet.lrz.de).
Many thanks for Manos' first supervisor Prof. Antoniou, evaluator Prof. Konstadinos (Kostas) Goulias (University of California Santa Barbara) and president of the examination procedure Prof. Klaus Bogenberger (Chair of Traffic Engineering and Control at TUM). A big thanks goes as well to TUM for the smooth process they enabled, and for the LRZ service, for their continuous support and the online tools they keep providing in these difficult times.
The members of the Chair of TSE are very proud and delighted to have Manos as their first Dr. Ing. From TSE to Manos and Costas: we are thrilled to share this exciting moment with you, and are looking forward to hopefully celebrate it soon in person.
Best of wishes Manos!
